MISSION 6
By Caleb Irvin / October 1, 2026 / No Comments
OUR OBJECTIVE
Official objective:
ELIMINATE THE LORD REGENT.
Our objective:
EXPOSE THE LORD REGENT.
We’re going to obtain evidence of Burrows’s crimes and broadcast it through Dunwall Tower.
That will remove him from power without killing him.
Which means we’re also working toward:
POLITICAL SUICIDE
and potentially:
POETIC JUSTICE.
And obviously:
CLEAN HANDS.
ENTERING DUNWALL TOWER
Samuel drops us near the tower.
This place is heavily guarded.
There are City Watch officers, Tallboys, Walls of Light, Arc Pylons, and other security measures around the area.
So what’s our strategy?
The same strategy that’s somehow gotten us this far:
DON’T FIGHT ANYBODY.
Use Blink.
Use the rooftops.
Use ledges.
Use pipes.
Use alternate entrances.
And when you see six guards standing somewhere?
That’s not an invitation.
That’s the game politely telling us:
“Find another way.”
RULE #1 REMINDER
If you absolutely have to knock someone unconscious:
IF THEY’RE UNCONSCIOUS, THEY’RE NOW OUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Put them somewhere safe.
Away from ledges.
Away from hazards.
Away from rats.
And preferably somewhere where the City Watch won’t trip over them five seconds later.
Although at this point I’m imagining half of Dunwall waking up in random closets wondering what happened.
INSIDE THE TOWER
Once inside, don’t rush toward Burrows.
We’re actually going somewhere else first.
We need to find:
THE BROADCAST TOWER.
There are chandeliers and elevated routes inside Dunwall Tower that can make sneaking significantly easier.
Use the environment.
Corvo has supernatural teleportation abilities.
There is absolutely no reason we should be walking through the front hallway like we’re here for a job interview.
🚨 CLEAN HANDS WARNING — SECURITY SYSTEMS 🚨
You’ll encounter an:
ARC PYLON.
We’re maintaining our previous philosophy.
Disable dangerous security rather than turning it against guards.
Remember:
We’re trying to leave this tower with:
ZERO KILLS.
The machine doesn’t care about our achievement.
So WE have to.
PART 1 — THE PROPAGANDA OFFICER
Make your way toward the broadcast area.
Eventually you’ll meet the man responsible for broadcasting the Lord Regent’s announcements.
Talk to him.
And this conversation changes everything.
The Propaganda Officer reveals that Burrows has made a recording.
Not just any recording.
A CONFESSION.
Burrows recorded evidence connecting himself to the conspiracy and his crimes.
…
HIRAM.
My friend.
My enemy.
The man we’ve spent half the game trying to expose.
You RECORDED YOURSELF?
We might have just found our next rule.
But hold that thought.
THE PLAN
The Propaganda Officer gives us what we need to access the Lord Regent’s safe.
Inside that safe is:
BURROWS’S CONFESSION.
So our new objective is extremely simple.
Sneak into the Lord Regent’s chambers.
Open his safe.
Steal the recording.
Bring it back.
Broadcast it.
And watch one man’s political career explode without us having to kill anybody.
PART 2 — LORD REGENT’S CHAMBERS
Sneak toward Burrows’s private chambers.
If we’re playing Low Chaos—which we absolutely should be after five missions of refusing to kill anybody—his location and surrounding security are more manageable than they can be during a violent playthrough.
Do NOT attack Burrows.
We need him alive.
We’re going after his safe.
THE LORD REGENT’S SAFE
Find the safe inside Burrows’s quarters.
The combination supplied through the Propaganda Officer’s information is:
9 — 3 — 5
Open it.
Inside is the important item:
LORD REGENT’S CONFESSION AUDIOGRAPH.
Take it.
And congratulations.
We have successfully stolen evidence from the most powerful man in Dunwall…
inside his own house.
Again.
Corvo’s burglary career remains significantly more successful than his assassination career.
🚨 DO NOT KILL BURROWS 🚨
Seriously.
We’re finally standing near the man responsible for everything.
And the game knows EXACTLY what you’re thinking.
Don’t do it.
Killing Burrows would ruin our Clean Hands run.
We’re going to defeat him another way.
And I think it’s much more fitting for the route we’ve been building.
Burrows built his power on lies.
So we’re going to destroy that power with:
HIS OWN WORDS.
PART 3 — BACK TO THE BROADCAST TOWER
Take the audiograph back to the Propaganda Officer.
Continue sneaking.
Don’t get impatient.
We’re approximately five minutes away from completely ruining this man’s life.
There’s no reason to start a sword fight now.
Reach the broadcasting equipment.
Insert Burrows’s confession.
And…
PLAY IT.
THE BROADCAST
Burrows’s confession goes out over the tower’s broadcasting system.
His crimes are exposed.
The guards turn against him.
And Hiram Burrows is:
ARRESTED.
No assassination.
No revenge killing.
No bloodshed required.
Just one extremely unfortunate recording.
Target neutralized.
ACHIEVEMENT — POLITICAL SUICIDE
Doing this earns:
POLITICAL SUICIDE
for exposing the Lord Regent’s crimes and bringing about his arrest.
And because we’ve been following the indirect/nonlethal solutions for the major targets throughout our playthrough, we should also be completing:
POETIC JUSTICE.
Let’s review what that means.
OUR INDIRECT TARGET LIST
HIGH OVERSEER CAMPBELL
Branded as a heretic.
Alive.
CUSTIS & MORGAN PENDLETON
Handed over through Slackjaw’s alternative.
Alive.
LADY BOYLE
Delivered through Lord Brisby’s alternative.
Alive.
LORD REGENT HIRAM BURROWS
Exposed using his own confession.
Alive.
And Sokolov?
We captured him alive because that was the mission objective.
So after spending most of the game being called an assassin…
Corvo’s actual assassination count remains:
ZERO.
That is genuinely impressive.
RULE #2 REMINDER
NONLETHAL DOES NOT MEAN NICE.
Campbell knows.
The Pendletons know.
Lady Boyle DEFINITELY knows.
And now Burrows gets to join the club.
Nobody died.
Nobody is particularly happy about that fact.
Classic Dishonored.
GETTING OUT
Once Burrows has been exposed, we’re done here.
Don’t suddenly become reckless.
Sneak back through the tower.
Use the same alternate paths that got us inside.
Avoid unnecessary confrontations.
And head toward Samuel.
We’re leaving Dunwall Tower.
CLEAN HANDS CHECK
At the end of the mission:
CHECK YOUR STATISTICS.
We need:
✓ DIDN’T KILL ANYONE
Hostiles killed:
0
Civilians killed:
0
If everything checks out?
Excellent.
Clean Hands survives another mission.
If not?
You know what happens.
RELOAD.
We’re too far into this run to let some unconscious guard roll down a staircase and destroy everything.
