Ancient Evil’s main quest is fully SOLO-capable, or you can do it with up to four players.

1. 🔮 Activate the Sentinel Artifact

Start in the Amphitheater and activate the Sentinel Artifact.

Complete the opening encounter, then find the Golden Bridle. Taking it summons a Gegenees.

Defeat him, take the Bridle to the Spartan Monument, and interact with Pegasus.

And then—

🪽 YOU RIDE PEGASUS.

Pegasus carries you to the Dark Side of Delphi.

2. 🦅 Free the two Eagles & unlock Pack-a-Punch

There are two trapped Eagles on the Dark Side.

Use your Specialist against the fiery portions of their cages to free them.

Once both Eagles are free, head to the Center of the World and survive the lockdown.

The Eagles activate the mechanism and:

🔫 PACK-A-PUNCH OPENS.

You can use the portal behind it to travel between the Light and Dark sides.

3. 🛡️ Build Apollo’s Will

Collect the three shield components:

Shield

Spear

Bracer

Bring them to the workbench in the Marketplace/Temple of Apollo and build:

🛡️ APOLLO’S WILL

Keep this shield in good condition. Its spear and shield bash are required for several Easter Egg steps.

4. 🔥 Light the Eternal Flame

Complete the Oracle’s Tribute Challenges.

How many high-tier rewards you need depends on player count. Once you’ve satisfied the requirement, the Eternal Flame in the Amphitheater turns blue.

That’s your confirmation that the main ritual chain is ready.

5. ✋ Obtain the FOUR God Hands

Ancient Evil has four elemental Wonder Weapons:

☀️ Hand of Hemera

🌬️ Hand of Ouranos

🌿 Hand of Gaia

💀 Hand of Charon

You’ll first find Dormant Hands around Delphi.

Take each one to its corresponding shrine and complete that god’s trial.

For the main quest, you’ll want the required Hands upgraded to their Redeemed versions. The final Exalted upgrades are powerful but aren’t required to finish the main Easter Egg.

6. 🔥 Burn the THREE oil spills

Take Apollo’s Will to the Eternal Flame.

Melee the flame with your shield so your spear/shield carries its fire.

Now ignite three oil spills:

🔥 Upper Road

🔥 Spartan Monument

🔥 Intersection of Treasuries

Melee each with the flaming shield.

When all three are burning:

💥 SCREEN SHAKE = SUCCESS.

7. 💀 Charon — glowing eyes

Take the Redeemed Hand of Charon to the Spartan Monument.

Fire a charged shot on the ground near the Zeus perk among the statues.

Look carefully.

One statue will have:

🔵 GLOWING BLUE EYES

Shoot that statue with Charon.

Another statue’s eyes illuminate.

Shoot it.

Continue until you’ve hit four glowing-eye statues.

You’ll get another screen shake.

8. ⚙️ Align the Citizens

There are three sets of gears/cogs:

⚙️ Spartan Monument

⚙️ Intersection of Treasuries near Ra

⚙️ Intersection of Treasuries near Stoa of the Athenians

Use the spear from Apollo’s Will at the correct moment as the gears meet.

Successfully synchronize all three.

Then go to the Stoa of the Athenians.

You’ll see three rotating statues.

Time another spear throw so that:

ALL THREE STATUES FACE INWARD.

Screen shake = you’ve got it.

9. 🌿 Gaia symbols & Golden Pole

Go to the Offering of the Attalids with the Hand of Gaia.

You’ll find four symbols.

Shoot all four quickly with Gaia so they remain illuminated.

A Gegenees appears.

Defeat him and he’ll drop:

🟡 THE GOLDEN POLE

Put the pole into the nearby Sundial.

10. ☀️ Complete the Sundial

An Electric Catalyst needs to be defeated over the Sundial.

This activates its mechanism.

Watch the rotating blue symbol and the electrical line. You need to stop the dial when the blue symbol reaches the correct position.

Do this successfully three times.

The timing gets faster each time.

11. ☀️ Get the Ankh

At the Intersection of Treasuries, there’s an Ankh trapped inside a crystal.

Bring a Gegenees over.

Bait him into using his shield attack against the crystal.

💥 CRACK.

Pick up:

☀️ THE ANKH

Take it to the Ra statue and place it into Ra’s hand.

12. ☀️ DEFEND RA’S BEAM

This starts a major lockdown.

Ra fires a beam.

Skeletons will attempt to block it while other enemies attack you.

Protect the beam.

Once you’ve successfully defended it, Ra’s beam blasts through the wall.

Inside the opening is a:

🔱 SCEPTER

Grab it and return it to Ra.

That completes this portion of the ritual.

13. 🎯 HIT YOUR MARKS

Everybody needs to head to the Amphitheater with the appropriate Redeemed God Hand.

Colored circles begin appearing.

Your Hand corresponds to a color.

Get into your designated position and defeat the appropriate targets using your Hand.

You’ll complete five rounds, followed by an intermission.

Then another five.

15 rounds total.

⚠️ If you fail, the whole Hit Your Marks sequence resets.

Successfully complete all three sets.

14. 🌊 Cleanse the Center of the World

Go to the symbol door beside the River of Sorrow.

Numbering the symbols from left to right, the sequence is:

12 → 2 → 15 → 19 → 6 → 9

Then use the required character interaction at the door.

Next, place a Pegasus Strike on the blue symbol at the top of the River of Sorrow.

Pegasus pulls a giant crossbow out of the river.

15. 🌬️ Turn the giant crossbow

Use a charged Redeemed Hand of Ouranos attack on the crossbow.

Keep the effect going until the crossbow rotates completely into position.

Now get Apollo’s Will.

Dip your shield into the:

🔥 Eternal Flame

Then, while holding it, pass through the:

☠️ Venom Trap

The shield’s flame turns green.

Return to the crossbow and melee it with your green-flaming shield.

The final portal above Pack-a-Punch opens.

⚠️ POINT OF NO RETURN

Once you enter that portal, you’re going to the boss.

Before entering, repair Apollo’s Will, refill your God Hand, restore perks, get your strongest upgraded equipment and make sure your Specialist is fully charged.

Then…

🪽 LET’S GO FIGHT PEGASUS.

16. 🪽 BOSS #1 — CORRUPTED PEGASUS

You’re transported onto floating islands.

Pegasus flies around the arena.

Attack him during his vulnerable passes.

When he begins glowing orange, use your Specialist to deal the important damage.

But there’s a problem:

THE ISLANDS START COLLAPSING.

Move to another platform before the one underneath you falls.

Continue:

Damage Pegasus → orange vulnerability → Specialist → move islands → repeat.

Eventually…

💥 PEGASUS FALLS.

But the fight isn’t over.

17. ⚔️ FINAL BOSS — PERSEUS

Now you face:

⚔️ PERSEUS

Damage him with your regular equipment until he begins glowing orange.

When he’s orange:

HIT HIM WITH YOUR SPECIALIST.

He’ll teleport and continue attacking.

Keep surviving and repeat:

Normal damage → Orange → Specialist → Repeat

until Perseus finally falls.

🏆 GREEK TRAGEDY — COMPLETE

The ending cutscene plays, bringing the Chaos storyline in Black Ops 4 to its cliffhanger conclusion.
